For now, the love doll scene is pretty much something that remains as a hidden thing, a subculture so to speak. There are so many articles that have to do with hiding love dolls, not something to be shared with others. On the other hand, vibrators can be found in most stores anywhere in the country, and seem to be well accepted by most, hmmm. I would never suggest totally replacing real human interaction with all it's intimate levels with synthetics. I am not saying the Synthos are bad, they have their place just as much as your microwave oven, a car, the TV or lawnmower. They all provide something you need or want in a certain situation at a certain time. I imagine, very far into the future, when love dolls/androids are more like living entities that can walk, talk and seem almost or even human, there will always be those who hate them and those who have anything to do with them.

Maybe in the future, with more mainstream acceptance of synthetic anthropomorphic sexual aids, there will be a massive increase in ICD code V41.7. Much in the same way that excessive masturbation can alter an individual's sexual preference and hinder their ability to perform normal sexual function with live human partners, it may be possible that the easy availability and instant gratification achieved from copulation with a love doll might cause a degradation in one's motivation to seek meaningful relationships with flesh-and-blood companions. Instead of planning romantic dinners and long strolls at the beach, synthos aficionados might be content to stay on the couch with a bag of Cheetos, receiving oral from SD-156 with the #107 head while watching Piper Perri on a 60 inch UHD flat panel get banged silly in a full nelson head lock by a monster twice her size.
